Just me talking about costume-y kind of stuff
Friday I did my DIY Armour presentation, Saturday I worked the registration table for the costume contest and handed out Cosplay Scavenger Hunt lists, did three rounds of pre-judging for the contest and then that night, I judged the costume contest. It went really well, we cut 20 minutes off of our tabulation times from last year. Everyone had a great time. Photos are below in the gallery. Sunday I judged the Cosplay Lipsync Battle. In between bopping back and forth between all of my official duties, I also went with the kids to the Yule Ball on Friday night, recruited students for our McLennan theatre program at my table in the Vendor area all weekend, I talked to the talented Mike Lewis about doing some armour for our upcoming production of Henry V in the spring. and I bought a great Raven T-shirt from my friend and fellow artist, Will McKeever at D20 Prints. your humble judgesFrom left to right: Jason Sanchez: head of the Geekfest Costume Committee and Staff Member, Megan Coats, longtime cosplayer, me, Revington Deschain, actor and cosplayer, Christopher Reed, actor and film maker. kids' paradeThere were a lot more than just these four kids in the kids' parade, but I didn't get any photos of them.
